Untangling the tape: you and HR legislation

Share | |

"The most radical reform to the employment law system for decades" - that's how business secretary Vince Cable has described legislative changes planned by the government. But how badly has your business been tangled up in HR red tape?

Cable's Red Tape Challenge review is radical: it could mean reducing the 90-day consultation period for redundancies, simplifying dismissal processes, imposing fees for going to employment tribunal, streamlining TUPE regulations. But do these proposals go far enough, or are they already a step too far?

As part of Midlands Business Insider's investigation into impact of HR legislation on Midland businesses we're asking our readers to contact us with stories about how their companies have been affected – for good or bad – by the laws and rules on how they should treat employees.

And what single change would our readers recommend to legislators on employment law?
