TV hotel secures loan

The Old Hall Country House in Madeley is set to continue its expansion after securing a six-figure loan.

The 16th century home was changed into a luxury hotel, with four ensuite rooms and space for meetings and functions, by owners Gary and Simon White in 2008.

A Grade-II listed building, located on the Cheshire and Staffordshire border, was a winning participant in Channel 4's 'Four in a Bed'.

Interest in the hotel escalated after the show, with weekend rooms booked until March 2012.

The business switched banking providers to Lloyds TSB Commercial to finance expanding.

Owner Gary White said: "The business has enjoyed solid growth over the last year, and we are very busy, particularly at weekends.

"The influx of visitors has enabled us to double staffing hours, whilst the outsourcing of our laundry has allowed us to ensure the bed and breakfast runs smoothly day and night."
