Coventry and Warwickshire LEP has unveiled the identity of its managing director.
Martin Yardley, who is director of city services and development at Coventry City Council, will be head of the executive team which runs the LEP.
Yardley will work alongside LEP chairman Denys Shortt, chief executive of Stratford-based health and beauty product distributor DCS Europe.
"The Coventry and Warwickshire LEP is one of the most progressive LEPs in the country and as managing director, my aim is to build on the momentum which has been achieved so far," said Yardley.
"I will be overseeing our different focus groups which range from tourism to planning to bring all the different business strands together as everyone connected with the LEP maintain our mission of making things happen.
"We have a five-year strategy we are working to and I am part of a dedicated and forward-thinking team who are determined to make a difference."
Yardley has been involved with the LEP since its inception. His council role involves implementing street cleansing and highway maintenance to overseeing a major regeneration programme in Coventry city centre.
