New base for Mechatronic Solutions
Birmingham-based Mechatronic Solutions has moved into purpose-built premises in Kings Norton Business Centre in the city.
The provider of automation and systems integration services' move to Unit 57 at the centre follows contract wins in the medical, automotive and industrial sectors.
Mechatronic transferred all of its operation from its former home of 23 years in Sheldon to accommodate its expanding workload, the company said.
It has added a Concept Kaizen workshop to the premises where prototypes can be developed and machines modelled in soft materials to aid concept design.
A new mezzanine floor was added to the warehouse to provide a stores area, as well as installation of new windows and doorways to connect the design office to the build area.
Managing director Richard Evans said: "This move came at a perfect time for the business, as we move forward we need more space for bigger projects and this layout will give us a more efficient way of working."
