Castle Gate properties on the market
A row of historic houses on the street leading to Nottingham Castle have been put up for sale.
Ten properties, including the former Lace Centre Shop, Severns House, have gone on the market through property consultancy Bruton Knowles on behalf of Nottingham City Council.
All of the properties are Grade II-listed and have been used most recently as offices and a costume museum by the council.
The 12,000 sq ft site is being marketed to buy either as four separate lots or as a whole with a view to regenerate into a mixed-used development.
Sam Spencer, commercial agent at Bruton Knowles, said: "Castle Gate and Severns House are truly fascinating and packed with original features. As a whole, or divided into separate lots, the buildings could be redeveloped in such a way as to capitalise on their unique heritage and location that is nevertheless right in the heart of Nottingham.
"We are already receiving enquiries in the buildings from a variety of interested parties."
