Co-op funds stack up Keele development
An office development in Newcastle-under-Lyme has been completed after securing £1m of finance from The Co-operative Bank.
The bank's North Midlands corporate banking centre (CBC) provided the funding to help complete a trio of office buildings in Keele Valley Business Park.
Property developer Clarke Construction obtained the funding to complete six office suites ranging from 2,500 sq ft to 17,500 sq ft.
Keele Valley Business Park covers just over one acre on Mariesway and is being targeted at businesses for headquarter offices.
Tenants currently occupying the buildings consist largely of the NHS and other governmental bodies.
Martin Lee, senior corporate manager at the North Midlands CBC of The Co-operative Bank, said: "We're delighted to support a project that proves how well-run businesses with proven corporate strategies such as Clarke Construction can succeed despite the difficult conditions blighting the wider economy."
