Autotech drives growth plans with relocation
A supplier to Jaguar Land Rover is planning to create 30 jobs in Birmingham after moving into larger premises in the city.
Engineering company Autotech, which specialises in the installation and maintenance of electronic control systems, relocated to Kings Norton Business Centre in Castle Road.
It has taken 4,841 sq ft of space, double the size of its previous headquarters on the same business park which is operated by SEGRO.
Autotech currently employs 24 staff but said this number could more than double if it continues at the same growth rate.
Nigel Brookes, sales director for Autotech, said: "Our team is constantly expanding so we needed a larger office unit that would give them plenty of space to work in. As well as work stations, we have installed a robot training facility for training purposes and Robcad areas to create 3D simulations.
"We stayed within the KNBC because it is centrally located and within close proximity to the motorway network. We are also very close to Solihull and Castle Bromwich, which is where one of our largest customer, Jaguar Land Rover, is based."
The company supplies its systems to JLR and BMW and provides logistics and warehousing services for Procter and Gamble, Coca-Cola and supermarkets Asda and Tesco.
