Childcare provider Busy Bees, based in Staffordshire, has bought Early Years Childcare for an undisclosed sum.
East Sussex-based Early Years Childcare will add nine locations to the Busy Bees chain, offering 685 registered places from birth to five years.
Busy Bees’ claims to be the UK's largest children's nursery provider with 146 sites offering more than 13,000 childcare places. It employs about 4,000 people across the UK.
Marg Randles, managing director at Busy Bees, said: "We have developed a well-respected and successful business over the last 28 years mainly through acquisition and remain passionate about the quality of care within our settings. We believe that Early Years Childcare is an excellent addition to our portfolio.
"We have been impressed with the commitment of the staff and their drive to provide an excellent service to children and parents. Nursery managers and their staff teams will continue to play the most important role, working with children and families, both current and future."
