TF Bell becomes Towergate Insurance
Hinckley-based insurance broking business TF Bell has changed its name to Towergate Insurance, nearly four years after joining the Towergate Partnership.
The name change became effective from yesterday (3 January 2012).
TF Bell Group joined Towergate Partnership, thought to be Europe's largest independently owned insurance intermediary, in February 2008.
Managing director Andy Bedford said the name change was delayed to ensure customer confidence was retained in the brand.
Bedford added: "We joined the Towergate Group to provide us with the size and scope to build our broking capability whilst providing our staff the type of career opportunities being part of a progressive and ambitious company could offer."
The company, which was named TF Bell for 35 years, acts for Hinckley businesses including the Sketchley Grange Hotel and family owned Ford dealership Paynes Garage.
