Earl Shilton recruits new chief exec
The Leicestershire-based Earl Shilton Building Society has appointed a new chief executive.
Paul Tilley will take on the role having worked for the Market Harborough Building Society for the past 27 years. Most recently, Tilley was head of business services and compliance.
His move into the position comes following the retirement of previous Earl Shilton chief executive, Neville Thompson, who worked at the society for 21 years.
Tilley said: "I hope to bring an energy and enthusiasm to take the business through its next stage of development in the interests of our members.
"It is a challenging market both for savers given the low interest rate environment and for borrowers where the wider-economic difficulties present mortgage availability and affordability issues for some. Economic recovery will be long and slow but there are, and will continue to be, opportunities for many businesses and individuals."
