Benchmark set with RBS funding deal
Stratford-upon-Avon-based Benchmark Grounds Maintenance has agreed additional working capital support from RBS after securing several contract wins.
Benchmark provides gardening services and interior plant maintenance to shopping centres, office blocks, business parks and schools.
The company is now aiming to reach a £3m turnover after taking on several new contracts and orders. It will be the second time in the last year that RBS has provided finance to support the additional workload.
Jeremy Rodway-Smith, managing director of Benchmark Grounds Maintenance, said: "2011 has been a good year for us and the prospects for 2012 are looking good as well.
"Additional contracts put pressure on our cashflow as we meet the extra workload so this further funding will help to increase our turnover and profitability – in the process, expanding the business and creating the right environment for us to take on additional staff."
Nick Dobson, senior commercial manager at RBS, added: "Jeremy has cleverly grown the business by having a clear focus on the quality of customer service and a clear understanding of his customer market. That has been rewarded with their growth this year and we hope our support helps them in turn to enjoy a successful 2012."
