Jobs go as Exitile shuts up shop

A Nuneaton-based panel manufacturer has been forced to call in administrators with the loss of 45 jobs.

Exitile, located on Jodrell Street, has appointed Martin Coyne and Matthew Hardy of Poppleton & Appleby to handle the administration.

The Coventry-based business advisory firm said Exitile was "no longer a sustainable business".

Exitile produced panels designed to allow entry into ceiling voids and cavities where access is required for maintenance or emergency procedures.

Coyne, senior partner at Poppleton & Appleby, said that Exitile had "fallen victim to the harsh economic climate".

He added: "We are now working with the directors to fully assess the situation and are looking to progress things as quickly and efficiently as possible. There has been some initial interest in the business and it is therefore a possibility that there may be scope for continuity to the brand.

"We are working closely with the local Jobcentre Plus, who were invited and attended our meeting with the workforce upon our appointment, to offer support and advice to the former employees."
