BMC fuels up with £1.4m

BMC Petroleum, based in Leicester, has bought its petrol station premises after securing £1.4m of funding from HSBC.

The investment will enable BMC Petroleum to by the land it had previously rented, allowing it to save on rental costs over the longer term. The deal has also helped petrol station operator BMC to invest in new technology to improve its point of sale monitors.

Roy Harris, regional commercial director in the Midlands, said: "BMC Petroleum is a strong example of a how a forward-thinking business can use bank funding to reduce its long-term costs, allowing it to build on the success it has already achieved.

"We’re looking forward to working with BMC Petroleum as it continues to further grow and progress its premises."

Mark Carsley, managing director of BMC Petroleum, added: "By purchasing our premises we will be saving on expensive rental costs, enabling us to look towards enhancing our business and improving even further the service we can offer to customers."
