Jobs boost with Brum care home opening
The creation of a £5m care home in Birmingham, financed by a funding deal from Yorkshire Bank, has created up to 160 jobs.
Absolute Care Homes (Central)'s three-storey, 68-bedroom property for the elderly with dementia has opened three months ahead of schedule.
Having been financed by Yorkshire Bank’s Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in Birmingham, the site currently employs 41 people but will recruit up to another 119 as it reaches full capacity.
Work to build Boldmere Court Care Home on Gravelly Lane in Erdington, got underway in March.
Paul Reeves, managing partner at Yorkshire Bank’s Birmingham FSC on Temple Row, said: "The project has created jobs for the staff behind the day-to-day running of the centre, along with local architects and developers.
"Yorkshire Bank is delighted to have helped fund the development and to be supporting Absolute Care Homes with its growth plans which could eventually lead to further care homes being created in the region."
