Football star on recruitment trail
Former Northampton Town footballer Ray Warburton said he is looking to recruit 30 new employees to his at-home care venture.
Warburton, who played for Northampton Town, said his business venture Home Instead Senior Care would create jobs over the next six months.
He started the business in September and has recently employed 12 new members of staff.
Home Instead, which has operations in Northampton, Nottingham and Leicester, provides meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, personal care, medication reminders, shopping and errands to elderly people at home.
Warburton said: "With an ageing population, caring for the elderly is a very important issue and we have found many people are grateful to learn that there is now a realistic ‘stay at home’ option.
"Although existing caregivers come from a hugely varied background, the one thing they have in common is that they all have a real passion for helping others and caring for people in our local community."
