Next lines up to pick Best Buy outlets
Retail giant Next is among several big brands vying to take up former Best Buy stores, according to reports.
The Leicestershire-based company is said to be among the bidders competing for the chain's 11 UK outlets.
Best Buy UK sunk into administration earlier this year after suffering losses of £47m in the six months to 30 September.
Next is thought to be keen to snap up several of the stores to roll out its garden centre concept.
Bids for the sites have also been received from supermarkets Sainsbury's and Waitrose as well as John Lewis at Home and Debenhams.
Curson Sowerby and DTZ are marketing the units for Best Buy's parent company Carphone Warehouse. The sites range from about 33,000 sq ft to 50,000 sq ft.
