PCT Healthcare plans get green light
PCT Healthcare has been given the go-ahead for a combined medical surgery, pharmacy and nursery in Chesterfield.
The mixed-use development on Ashgate Road will combine Avondale Surgery, Peak Pharmacy and Little Acorns Day Nursery.
The proposals, which also provide space for allied health professions on the site of the former Manor School, were granted planning permission by Chesterfield Borough Council.
Bill Davidson, director at Indigo Planning which advised the plans, said the development would create "many" local jobs.
He added: "These plans will secure and deliver jobs and public services and have the full support of the surgery and its patients. Avondale Surgery, Peak Pharmacy and Little Acorns Day Nursery have all outgrown their premises and have been looking for new facilities for four years.
"The new development will deliver a very sustainable building offering much improved healthcare services to the local community."
