RBS funds Megaclose scheme
East Midlands student accommodation company Megaclose has purchased its latest development scheme in Leicester thanks to a new funding package with The Royal Bank of Scotland. Megaclose, which has developed strong relationships with De Montfort University, the University of Leicester, Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham, has purchased a site on Eastern Boulevard in Leicester, which borders the River Soar and is close to the De Montfort University city centre campus. Planning permission has been granted for Megaclose to provide 357 student living units, 349 studios and eight one-bed rooms. They will be spread over a four-storey terrace and 21-storey tower, using 131,000 sq ft of space.
