Eurocell unveils £3m recycling site
UPVC product supplier Eurocell, based in Alfreton, has opened a new recycling plant in Ilkeston.
Eurocell, part of Part of the Tessenderlo Group, has invested £3m in the site which will have the capacity to process up to 20,000 end-of-life window frames per week.
It is set to create 15 jobs in the area.
Incorporating market-leading processes and employing the latest technology means the Eurocell group is pioneering the ability to manufacture new products from the recycled material – providing customers with a completely closed-loop recycling process.
"The official opening marks the beginning of a new era for our group in terms of sustainable manufacturing and offering an unbeatable ‘green’ solution,” said Patrick Bateman, Eurocell's chief executive.
"The fact that our recycling plant is here in Derbyshire and we manufacture new products in the same county is yet another example of Eurocell and Tessenderlo Group’s commitment to creating a sustainable, low carbon business."
