UK Regeneration targets the Midlands

Share | |

Property organisation UK Regeneration says it is targeting land across the Midlands to build a series of "campus-style developments of homes and workspaces".

The project says it already has "major institutional funding" and hopes to support construction jobs in the area while producing affordable housing in "village-style" settings.

UK Regeneration chief executive Jackie Sadek said, at an event hosted by Harvey Ingram and Savills, that the region is "ripe for such developments".

Sadek added: "What is unusual about this project is that we have the funds in place, we have the outline designs, we have the government’s 'buy now, pay later' scheme for land acquisition and we are absolutely ready to go.

"All we need now is for the local authority and other land owners from across the Midlands to come forward with the locations. With favourable planning decisions we can be up and running very quickly."

UK Regeneration is seeking uncontaminated land that is a minimum of five acres in site, near or in city centre locations and available on 'buy now, pay later' terms.
