Midlands forms core of Hilton jobs plan
Sites in the Midlands have been included on a list of hotels being lined up by Hilton as part of plans to create thousands of jobs.
The Hilton St George's Park hotel and Hampton by Hilton St George's Park, both in Burton on Trent, are set to open in the third quarter of 2012, it was announced, while the DoubleTree by Hilton in Lincoln is due to open next month.
The openings form part of Hilton's plans to open more than 20 new hotels in the UK, creating about 1,500 jobs.
The chain hopes to to open 110 new hotels across Europe by 2014 and create 8,500 jobs.
Details on other hotels set to open in the UK are yet to be revealed.
