Government recruiter in profit hike

Share | |

A Stoke-on-Trent-based IT recruitment company, which supplies staff to the government, has recorded increased turnover and profit over the past year.

LA International Holdings attributed the boost to "continued investment into new and existing markets" both in the UK and internationally.

For the year to 30 June 2011, LA International Holdings secured a turnover of £117m; a slight increase on its 2010 result of £116.8m.

Profit after tax grew from £3.6m to £3.7m.

The company supplies IT staff to organisations across the UK, including security cleared workers to the government. Established 30 years ago, the company now operates in 23 countries.

After agreeing a £4m dividend in the previous year, shareholders decided not to give a payout this year.

The value of the company's assets grew over the 12 months, from £27.9m to £29.3m.
