REI's Peter Lewin dies
The founder of Birmingham property company Real Estate Investors (REI) has died.
Peter Lewin passed away on Friday (25 November).
Lewin established the company in 2004 and it was listed on AIM in the same year.
He was chief executive until 2007, when he became chairman, a role he held until 2010. Lewin remained a non-executive director until retiring at the beginning of this year.
Paul Bassi, chief executive of REI, said: "On behalf of the board and everyone at REI, I would like to extend our condolences to Peter's wife, Michelle and to their family.
"Peter was unstinting in his commitment to the company and his wise counsel was always of the highest standard. He will be missed."
