Cattaneo funds eco company expansion
Birmingham investor Cattaneo has invested £700,000 in a recycling company which is about to launch its range in John Lewis stores across the UK.
Krushr, based in Bourne, Lincolnshire, supplies a range of domestic recycling trash compactors. It was founded four years ago by entrepreneur Martin Preen.
The company launched its recycling range at London's Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom exhibition in May 2011, generating international sales enquiries from France, Germany, the United States and New Zealand.
Krushr appliances will also be sold in John Lewis stores across the UK from 16 January.
The funding was provided by Cattaneo alongside a group of private investors. It will be used to fund the initial sales growth of the business.
Krushr was advised by Charles Cattaneo and Stephen Bishop of Cattaneo with legal advice provided by Austin Moore and Lorna Biondi of Gateley.
Charles Cattaneo said: "Despite tough market conditions there are still sources of funding for good businesses and we are delighted to be able to invest our own funds into Krushr thus demonstrating our faith in our client’s ability to take the business to the next level.
"The funding was structured to take full advantage of enterprise investment scheme relief which provides a valuable incentive for investors to invest in smaller growing businesses."
