Krushr in product investment drive

A Bourne-based recycling appliance producer has secured £700,000 of investment to fund early sales growth.

Krushr, which supplies a range of domestic recycling trash compactors, was founded four years ago by Martin Preen.

The company launched its range at London's Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom exhibition in May 2011 which generated international sales enquiries from France, Germany, the United States and New Zealand.

Krushr appliances will also be sold in John Lewis stores across the UK from 16 January.

The funding was provided by Birmingham-based investor Cattaneo alongside a group of private investors. It will be used to fund the initial sales growth of the business.

Krushr was advised by Charles Cattaneo and Stephen Bishop of Cattaneo with legal advice provided by Austin Moore and Lorna Biondi of Gateley.

Martin Preen, chief executive and founder of Krushr, said: "I'm delighted at the level of market interest in Krushr from both the UK and around the globe and completing this round of fundraising, in what is a difficult market, is a great achievement. Krushr is now well funded to deliver the next stage of its development."
