Astle Park unit snapped up
One of the Black Country’s 19th century industrial landmarks has been sold to a private buyer in a £240,000 deal.
Unit 2, Astle Park in West Bromwich was sold in a transaction led by property consultancy Bond Wolfe.
The 10,000 sq ft Grade II listed building dates back to 1883 and was originally the then new printing and publishing offices for Kenrick & Jefferson.
The unnamed buyer is set to refurbish the building at a cost of several hundred thousands pounds, said Bond Wolfe, adding that proposed use is "probably retail and offices".
The building fronts the Astle Park retail park, close to where a Tesco supermarket is being built.
Astle Retail Park tenants include William Hill, Subway, Nike, Next and Marks & Spencer.
