Opus 40 unveils Premier Inn addition

Share | |

A Premier Inn Hotel has been constructed on Warwick's Opus 40 office scheme site, creating about 50 jobs.

The 122-bedroom hotel plot was acquired by Premier Inn's parent company Whitbread from Opus Land last year. The deal was worth about £2m.

Opus Land, which owns the Opus 40 development, said: "Premier’s brand of high quality budget accommodation will meet demand from companies in and around the business park, as well as boosting tourism in Warwick itself.

"In addition, some 50 new jobs will be created locally both within the hotel and from resulting trade generated by guests for local shops and restaurants."

Planning consent has been secured for an additional 260,000 sq ft of office accommodation on the Opus 40 site.

The scheme is being marketed jointly by Coventry-based Bromwich Hardy and GVA. Opus 40 is funded through the Palmer Capital Development Fund.
