Birmingham-based accountancy firm recruiter Raynorwest has merged with recruitment company Blusource, Insider can reveal.

The joint venture with Nottingham-based Blusource will be branded Blusource Accountancy.

The new division will cover all levels and disciplines in professional practice firms and in-house tax.

Blusource currently recruits members of staff for companies within the legal, finance and banking sectors from offices in Nottingham and Birmingham.

After the merger has been completed, Greg Emmerson will be promoted to partner for the East Midlands and Marie Weston will join as managing partner.

Weston will spearhead the growth of the accountancy arm's two new sub-divisions Blusource Tax and Blusource CF – a recruiter for the corporate finance sector.

Andrew Springhall, chief executive of Blusource: "The scale of Blusource's operation gives the newly formed company the opportunity to further improve the relationships and services offered to firms across the region, whilst maintaining the independence and flexibility that our clients value.

"Blusource Accountancy will build on what Raynorwest and Blusource has successfully been a part of for many years; continuing to support and develop the local business communities with regular events and sponsorship."

Legal assistance for the transaction was provided by Tom Gray of Actons & Alice Rees of Nelsons.
