Share | |

Food supplier Brunei Halal has created 30 new jobs after moving into larger premises on Saltley Business Park in Birmingham.

The company, which is part of the Wafiri Holdings food brand, signed a five-year lease on a 25,000 sq ft site.

Mohammad Nazir, chief executive of dry food producer Brunei Halal, said the move would allow the company to create up to 30 new jobs.

He added: "We looked at a number of options for a base for our UK and European sales and distribution centre and Saltley Business Park provided an excellent match to our search criteria.

"The appeal of certified Halal products has increased significantly over recent years and we see significant potential to grow our brand across Europe."

The deal was secured by the industrial agency team at property company GBR Phoenix Beard.

Saltley Business Park is owned by Hansteen UK Industrial Property Unit Trust and managed by Hansteen Holdings.

Long-standing tenants of the park include Anixter, iForce, IMS UK, Ajax Tocco International and Rippleglen.
