Omnium snapped up by Outsource UK
Newcastle-under-Lyme-based Omnium IT Recruitment has been acquired by a rival company. The deal will form a £35m-turnover business.
Omnium has been bought by Wiltshire-based Outsource UK for an undisclosed sum.
The business now has a joint £35m turnover, with 45 members of staff and an additional 400 contractors working for clients throughout the UK and Europe.
Outsource said the purchase supported its strategy to increase its market share over the next two years and strengthen its position in the IT recruitment sector.
The company's managing director Paul Jameson said Omnium was "an attractive proposition", as it is the preferred supplier of a number of companies, including two leading financial services firms.
Outsource provides IT support for financial services, including blue chip organisations such as Nationwide and Santander.
Omnium's founders will continue to run their part of the business from the Newcastle-under-Lyme offices; and for the medium term it will remain known as Omnium, said Jameson.
