Four Seasons in bloom with Christmas extension

A Sleaford garden centre has doubled its retail offering after expanding with a funding package from NatWest.

Family-run Four Seasons Garden Centre & Farm Shop will open its 3,000 sq ft extension next month (December).

The centre houses a plant and cut flower department, a gardening products shop, a clothing store featuring brands such as Tabury, Regatta, Dock of the Bay and a restaurant.

With the extension in place, the garden centre has doubled its retail space and increased stock holding capacity, while the restaurant will be enlarged to include an extra 50 covers.

NatWest, which last year funded the development of the centre’s car park, provided an undisclosed funding boost toward the extension project.

Chris Bird, director of Four Seasons Garden Centre & Farm Shop, said: "Despite the current economic environment people are still investing in their gardens and we are benefiting from this spending activity.

"The additional space allows us to increase our stock holding across the range, providing more choice and variety for our customers. We have also taken the opportunity to drive further business in our restaurant where we have increased capacity by 50 covers. This helps us to create a real trip experience for people when they visit us."
