Michelin joins forces with NSCCI
The business development loan arm of Michelin Tyres has signed a renewed 12-month contract with North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NSCCI).
Through the deal, the chamber is to identify suitable businesses and start-ups to receive loans from the Michelin Development fund.
For the last six months, the company has been working with NSCCI on an initial trial contract basis. The chamber carries out initial interviews with potential clients and identify whether or not they meet the loan fund criteria.
Ian McLaughlan from the chamber project's group, said: "We are delighted to be able to bring the chamber's extensive business networks and experience of working with local business to help support Michelin Development.
"By working in partnership we believe we can enable even more companies to access the Michelin loan fund and to grow and create jobs; something which is vital for North Staffordshire."
