Bulwell Riverside project revealed

Photos of the £22m Bulwell Riverside joint services centre have been unveiled for the first time.

Construction partner on the scheme Laing O’Rourke hosted a behind-the-scenes tour of the pioneering 91,493 sq ft centre in Bulwell near Nottingham.

The project is part of a major redevelopment planned for Bulwell town centre.

Bulwell Riverside has been created to combine Nottingham City Council services, local GP Practices, NHS Nottingham City clinics and Nottingham City Homes housing services under one roof.

Laing O’Rourke's Danny Doherty, director for Yorkshire and East Midlands, said: "With construction work nearing completion, we were pleased to welcome Nottingham City Council and Nottingham PCT to what will be their new home and an exceptional new facility for the local community."

Nottingham-based architect practice CPMG designed the scheme around the Victorian Bulwell Baptist Church, which has been retained as part of the project.
