A Warwickshire care home has completed an expansion plan after securing £220,000 in funding from Barclays Corporate.

Long Lea Care Home in Nuneaton clinched the investment to create a nine-bedroom extension at its premises on The Long Shoot.

The business, which employs 41 members of staff, offers care services to patients aged over 65-years-old.

It is owned by Dwell Holdings and is managed by Tracey Harris, a qualified nurse and midwife.

Harris said: "This expansion is going to allow us to extend our offering to more elderly people in the local community. It will add another dimension to care, by offering better services for those nearing end of life and better facilities for bereavement care."

Greg Allen, relationship director at Barclays Corporate, added: "I admire Tracey’s passion for the business which is to provide the very highest standard of care to her residents. I am delighted to have helped the business with the latest phase of expansion."
