Positive Cashflow sets up Brum operation

Share | |

Midlands commercial finance specialist David Totney is set to launch Positive Cashflow Finance's Birmingham office.

Positive provides finance of up to £1m for companies with a turnover of £100,000 to £10m to fund buyouts, acquisitions, working capital, new starts and pre-pack transactions.

As regional managing director, Totney will join founders David Smith, Phil Chesham, Simon Cook and Peter Davis on the board, and will establish Positive’s presence in the Midlands.

Earlier in his career Totney spent time as executive director of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance before founding his own independent factoring business, Liquidity.

Totney took up his previous role as head of invoice finance at Santander after the business was acquired by the bank.

David Smith, managing director of Positive, said: “The Midlands SME community is crying out for a local service-led invoice finance provider. With other players in the region moving toward the larger end of the market, it is the perfect time for Positive to set up in the Midlands and support these businesses."
