Sales lift at Source BioScience

An increase in demand for cervical cancer screening services has helped Source BioScience record a 17 per cent boost in revenue.

The Nottingham-based diagnostics company attributed the growth over the three months to 30 September to a strong performance from its healthcare division's cervical cancer screening business.

It added that demand for its LifeSciences services had also increased.

Full year profits are expected to be in line with market expectations, said Source BioScience.

The company said it was continuing to benefit from a cost cutting exercise which it undertook in the first half of the year in connection with the acquisition and integration of imaGenes.

Source BioScience said that at the end of the three-month period, it had £3.1m of cash, an increase of £100,000 on the comparable 2010 period.
