TIP makes a move on Rhodes Wood
The Insurance Partnership (TIP) has expanded its presence in the Midlands with the acquisition of Wolverhampton-based Rhodes Wood Risk Services.
The purchase of Rhodes Wood was described as "a strategic move" by Yorkshire insurance broker TIP.
TIP managing director Rob Worrell said: "The acquisition of Rhodes Wood represents a genuine meeting of minds; this was meant to be in that there is a complete cultural alignment with comparable Key Insurance Partners and technology but above all the delivery of an independent high calibre service being the cornerstone of our proposition."
A statement from Rhodes Wood partners added: "In order that we could continue to provide our clients, the professional, hands on service we have delivered over the past 25 years, it was very important we chose the right partner.
"We feel the Insurance Partnership will continue what we started and we look forward to working together with them.
TIP said it now controls gross written premiums in excess of £50m per annum, £100m funds under management and employing in excess of 180 people across the group over six offices throughout the UK.
