Technology Park development gets go-ahead
Plans for a new 21,000 sq ft office building at the £100m Longbridge Technology Park have been given the green light by Birmingham City Council’s planning committee.
Three Devon Way is a three-storey office building planned to form the third phase of Birmingham developer St Modwen's Technology Park. It follows the site's Innovation Centre and Two Devon Way plots.
The business park is one of the first phases of the £1bn mixed-use Longbridge scheme.
Mike Murray, senior development surveyor for St Modwen, said: "Three Devon Way will form part of the next phase of the Technology Park to help meet future demand.
"The success of both the Innovation Centre and Two Devon Way has put Longbridge Technology Park on the map as a prime location for technology-led businesses."
The Innovation Centre is home to 40 business employing about 240 people, while neighbouring Two Devon Way is 80 per cent let following a recent letting to UK electronics design consultancy Bytesnap.
