Insider Property Breakfast 2011 – book your place now
The first two speakers have been confirmed for Insider's Property Breakfast 2011. Carl Potter, director at GVA and Steve Hollis, deputy chairman at Birmingham and Solihull LEP, will join our panel to discuss whether the region's property sector can fuel the growth of the economy.
Our panel of industry experts will discuss how the industry can lead boost the economy by utilising both government funds and UK and overseas investors who are waiting to make a return to the market.
We'll discuss whether the enterprise zones in the East and West Midlands will lead to a renaissance in the construction of a new wave of Grade A office stock so desperately needed across the Midlands.
At the same time we’ll ask how the region’s LEPs can facilitate the bringing together of developers and businesses looking to move into the region, and look back to the work these fledgling organisations have already done – and what they hope to achieve in 2012 and beyond.
We'll also hear from the big investment funds about their next moves, and find out whether deals such as £126m sale of One Snowhill in Birmingham to Commerz Real AG will be more forthcoming in 2012.
The region’s top agents will also give us their views on where the market is heading, and whether the upcoming rash of leasebreaks and/or renewals will spur the sector and create both inward churn and genuine inwards investment into our towns and cities.
We'll discuss how Midlands companies can harness these opportunities and establish whether the government is doing enough to help the property sector as it emerges from the downturn.
With input from an invited audience of business owners, company directors, and professionals this is sure to be a lively debate.
