Chinook to grow Nottingham site

Recycling company Chinook Sciences is planning to recruit more than 20 new employees at its Nottingham base.

The company, which has its European headquarters in Nottingham Science Park, said it is looking to take on skilled engineers.

Chinook Sciences moved into the building a year ago and has now agreed to take an additional 5,000 sq ft of office space on top of the 15,000 sq ft it already occupies.

Chinook said the expansion has come after an increase in demand for industrial renewable energy technology RODECS. It is thought to be the world's only industrial gasification system which universally develops waste material without any type of pre-processing.

Harry Perry, Chinook Sciences' technical director, said: "It is an easy decision to invest at the Science Park with the pool of talent available in the region, and combined with the quality of the current workforce, we will be able to grow and fully support Chinook’s wide ranging activity in the waste to energy field."
