BWB makes senior appointment
Engineering and environmental consultancy BWB has appointed Scobie Alvis as a group director. He will lead the Nottingham-based company's recently formed Buildings and Built Environment Group (B&BE).
Alvis will take overall responsibility for the growth strategy and performance of BWB's network of five UK offices.
He joins the company from Hyder Consulting and has more than 25 years' experience in building and bridge design.
Steve Wooler, BWB’s managing director, said: "Scobie's impressive reputation and experience adds a new dimension to BWB that underpins both our geographic expansion ambitions and also our entry into new market sectors.
"Despite the generally subdued mood and sentiment in the marketplace we remain optimistic about the future. This is a strategic appointment that sends a strong signal about our ambition and intent."
