HOW appointed on Pochin scheme
Pochin Developments has appointed HOW Planning to advise on its proposed mixed-use development in Ellesmere, Shropshire.
The Ellesmere Wharf scheme had previously been granted outline planning permission in 2007. HOW Planning has now prepared and submitted an application to extend the time limits for the planning permission to secure the long term future of the scheme.
Jon Suckley, associate at Manchester-based HOW Planning, said: "Over the years we have established a very good relationship with the team from Pochin and are looking forward to helping secure the long term future of Ellesmere Wharf.
"Economic conditions have been hugely challenging over the past few years which has resulted in a lot of schemes being put on hold. Being able to secure extension to time limits demonstrates Pochin's ambition to press ahead with new development."
Plans for the mixed-use scheme incorporate residential, retail, community uses, restaurant and cafe as well as public realm and means of access.
