Trent Pottery Furniture expands with storage deals

A Leicestershire company which supplies furniture to the hospitality sector has purchased several sites to cope with growing demand.

Trent Pottery Furniture in Narborough said it has quadrupled its storage capacity with the acquisitions.

The company's original 8,000 sq ft factory and showroom will be used for storage, furniture assembly and upholstery, while a 1,400 sq ft showroom will hold tables, chairs, stools and benches.

"We are delighted with our new premises, particularly with the vastly improved showroom which enables our clients to see our furniture up close," said Robert Price, managing director of Trent Pottery Furniture.

"It's also very reassuring to be able to expand at a time when so many businesses in the hospitality industry are struggling to stay trading."

Trent Pottery Furniture has also acquired five acres of farmland including another 2,000 sq ft storage unit which has been earmarked for further expansion next year.

When combined with an additional 15,000 sq ft of storage at a local farm, the company now has a total of over 33,000 sq ft dedicated to stock storage.
