Loxton picks up Pentagon House
Office refurbishment company Loxton Developments has bought Pentagon House in Derby.
The company acquired the 32,000 sq ft building from Tyrebrook.
Pentagon House, located opposite the Derbyshire County Cricket Ground, was originally constructed in 1989 as the head office of Williams Holdings.
It is currently occupied by security services provider Chubb, manufacturer Chemring Europe and data management company Infomill. About 20,000 sq ft is unoccupied.
Birmingham-based investment consultant Sampson Moore acted for Loxton and Derby property agency Innes England acted for the vendor.
Loxton's managing director Mark Roberts said: "Derby is a thriving city with a strong technological base which has weathered the recession better than most and we have been looking to invest there for some time.
"Pentagon House is a prestigious building, which will provide 'grade A' air-conditioned space with raised floors and some of the best parking in the city. Since there is not a lot of top quality space immediately available in Derby we are hopeful that Pentagon House will attract new tenants in the coming months."
