RCapital invests in former KPMG head
Turnaround investment firm RCapital has appointed a Birmingham-based restructuring specialist as its chairman.
Myles Halley, who was a senior partner at accountancy form KPMG for the almost 30 years, will join the RCapital board immediately.
RCapital is best known for its acquisition of Little Chef and subsequent joint venture with celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal.
Halley was head of KPMG's restructuring practice, working out of the Birmingham office, until two years ago.
"Myles Halley has a wealth of experience and we have worked closely with him over many years on a number of turnaround transactions," said Jamie Constable, chief executive and co-founder of RCapital.
"We are very excited about having him join us as chairman, his skills are exactly what we as a turnaround specialist need in order to be able to take advantage of the many opportunities that continue to present themselves to us in the current economic climate."
