BHW brings in new employment head
Leicester law firm BHW has appointed Laura McIlwain as head of employment.
McIlwain joins the company from the National Farmers' Union (NFU), where she managed 13 people as the head of employment.
In her new role, she will lead a team of employment lawyers at BHW’s offices at Grove Park near Leicester.
The firm said it was now looking to recruit a further six people over the next two years.
Managing director Nick Bridle said: "We will be building a substantial team around Laura. Having developed employment law services for NFU members, Laura is uniquely qualified to do the same at BHW for a wider range of industry sectors."
McIlwain added: "I very much enjoyed my ten years at the NFU but was ready for a new challenge and I am delighted to have found the ideal opportunity at BHW. This is a legal business with significant ambitions. I look forward to playing my part in fulfilling that great potential."
