Jobs lost as Parry Bowen collapses

Curtain walling installer Parry Bowen has fallen into administration putting 150 jobs at risk.

The Chasetown, Staffordshire-based company said the failure was down to cashflow problems, which culminated in it making "the majority of the workforce" redundant earlier this month.

Matthew Hammond, Mark Hopkins and Eddie Williams of PwC were appointed joint administrators on 27 October.

Hammond said: "Parry Bowen is a Staffordshire building cladding specialist that has been established for over 20 years and which has unfortunately been severely affected by the ongoing difficulties that continue to affect the construction sector.

"We are currently exploring strategic options in respect of the companies’ assets and are working to secure interest in the assets of the business."

Parry Bowen specialises in manufacturing and installing curtain walling and commercial windows which employed 150 people.
