Energetics eyes growth with Warwickshire site

Utility services provider Energetics has opened up a new Midlands site as part of plans to double its UK-wide workforce by 2013.

Energetics, which provides design, build and regulation services and is fully accredited in electricity, gas, water, telecoms and street lighting, said it wants to grow the number of staff it employs to 400 over the next two years.

The Glasgow-based company has signed a lease on a 15,645 sq ft warehouse and office unit at Warwickshire's Coleshill Industrial Estate.

It is also planning to secure a further three satellite offices in the Midlands by 2013.

Bill McSheffery, major developments manager for Energetics, said: "The Midlands is a key region for Energetics, as strategically it is the focus for our ongoing expansion plans. Although the business has its headquarters in Glasgow, almost half of all Energetics projects are in England and Wales.

"We have been active in the Midlands for some time now, and we are therefore well on the way to establishing a strong client base in the region, together with an enviable project portfolio."

In addition to its Glasgow headquarters and Warwickshire hub, the company also has operations in Warrington.
