Notts jobs created with £1.6m RGF funds
More than 60 jobs are to be generated after the East Midlands' only Regional Growth Fund (RGF) winner was handed £1.6m.
Nottingham-based pharmaceutical research company Molecular Profiles said it will create an additional 62 jobs in the city after being handed its RGF investment. It was the only company in the region to secure investment in the first round of funding, which closed earlier this year.
The funding from the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), alongside a further £7.2m from the company, will be used to purchase land, build a 30,000 sq ft research and development centre and equip its laboratory.
Dr Nikin Patel, chief executive of Molecular Profiles, said: "This RGF grant is a significant milestone in the growth plan for our company. We are excited by the opportunity this grant has created, which will allow us to create a new state-of-the art pharmaceutical development facility and significantly expand our team.
"We are eager to commence the expansion as soon as possible."
