Travis Perkins recruits new board member
Builders' merchant Travis Perkins has appointed the former vice-chairman of KPMG (UK) as a non-executive director.
The Northampton-based company has recruited Ruth Anderson to its audit committee.
Anderson was vice-chairman of accountancy firm KPMG (UK) from 2005 to 2009.
She is also a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee of Ocado. Anderson does not hold any shares in Travis Perkins.

Her extensive experience of advising a broad range of companies across many business sectors will be of great value to the board, and with her financial background, she will be an important addition to our audit committee."
Anderson is a chartered cccountant and held a number of positions with KPMG (UK) from 1976 to 2009.
